Pattern Description: A simple 3-piece yoga pant made from a stretch fabric (can be adapted for other fabrics) with a 2 inch waistband
Pattern Sizing:All sizes in one envelope, 37-53" inch hips, and it can be graded larger or smaller if necessary.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, except the envelope pattern covers the top of the pants. The line drawing is more clear.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, the instructions are good. Follow them, as I didn't on my 2nd pair and had to rip it out and do it as described.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern sews up really easily, most if not all is done on the serger but can be done with a regular machine too. I watched the Yoga Pants webcast on Peggy Sagers website about 3 times and just went ahead and sewed them up as she said. The fit is really good.
Fabric Used:Ponte Roma from Joanns
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I sewed the size 8 with a size 12 waist for my first pair. The fit is quite good though I have some droops due to a flat behind. My second pair I went up to 10 and 14 and adjusted out the flat behind (as in her pants webcast.) I still think the smaller pair fits a bit better, and what I want to do is the Flat Behind Adjustment and then add 1" to the waist height. I have a very soft belly and would prefer the waistband to go just over it, to hit right at my belly button. It sits right now about 1" below it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I will definitely sew it again and work on a few little things as described above
Conclusion: If you want a good comfy pair of lounging pants or exercise pants, these are for you. I might try making them out of a more dressy pants fabric and see what happens.
