|Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?|
Yes, with the exception of the collar (which I did not use), and that I plan to wear it "backwards."
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions are fairly brief, but if you've used Cake Patterns before (and are thus familiar with the "sizing," they're really pretty easy. It's also a fairly easy project to sew.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really liked the design of the top, and the customizable fitting system Cake uses.
7 oz. Cotton Jersey with a tonal stripe, from Girl Charlee.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Per above, chose to wore this backwards so the chevrons would be more noticeable. I therefore left off the collar, and just hemmed the back neckline.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I would sew it again. Before doing so I'll need to make some modifications based on my own fitting needs (maybe a swayback adjustment, longer, etc.). I'll also need to alter the sleeves, however, and this my primary reservation with this pattern. They're huge, but not huge enough to seem like they were designed that way (I have pretty average to slightly large upper arms).
Overall a good pattern. Made up in a slightly sturdier knit, and with some slight modifications, I think it has great potential. For more details on how I selected my sizing, see Buy this pattern for $10.00 Add to Bag
