Pull-on blouse or dress with sleeve options and opportunity to use contrast on sleeves or front fold-out. Very flattering & easy to customize.
I cut a size bigger than I should have giving a more relaxed fit so I found sizing spot on. I also included a small FBA (instructions for this are included in the pattern instructions, very easy).
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Absolutely. Lovely instructions compared to some others out there. Clear drawings & instructions making the assembly flawless.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like that this pattern can be as plain or as jazzed up as you want it to be. There is so much you can do to customize this pattern - skies the limit!
I used an off-cut from a previous project (NL6242 halter top) which was a rayon georgette, toffee coloured with white polka dots.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I left off the pockets just because I didnt need them or have the fabric for them.
Because I cut mine a size bigger, I had a little extra fabric in the front so I was able to make my centre front flaps a little wider which looked much better.
I french seamed my shoulder & side seams.
Next time I would make the back neck facing the same width as the front facing (to join) instead of making a bias facing on the back.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I want to make the dress so this blouse really started as a muslin but turned out so great, I finished it off to be a wearable muslin. Love it.
Absolutely highly recommend this pattern. From start to finish its just a pleasure to sew. I look forward to making the dress.
