|Pattern Description: |
"The Alma Blouse is a feminine, semi-fitted blouse with neckline and sleeve variations. Darts create a fitted silhouette without being too tight, with an optional tie belt to cinch the waistline."
I cut a size 16, according to the wearer's upper bust measurement.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, apart from my modifications.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I didn't really look at the instructions, as the pattern was fairly simple to put together. When I did consult them, as when putting in the zipper, they were easy to follow.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is a really great little sloper-esque pattern. I love the fisheye darts, and also all the different options and ways you could personalize it!
Lisette lawn from JoAnn's.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made an FBA, a forward shoulder adjustment, a narrow shoulder adjustment, a full arm adjustment, and a not-particularly successful swayback adjustment. I also changed the sleeves to be 3/4 length and gave them a notch like the neckline has. I put in a regular zip rather than an invisible one.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I already have plans to sew it again, for myself this time, probably a couple of different versions.
This pattern is a good investment, as it is a basic, costumizable, simple little blouse. It is pretty the way it is and easy to adapt in different ways!
