A dog coat for Christmas with fur trim, a hood and Velcro down the front for closure. Pattern Sizing:
I think its more suited for little/medium sized dogs. I cut out a medium for Jock who is a 15kg Cocker Spaniel. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! So adorable! Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes easy to follow and sew up except a bit challenging on the curves given the stretchy velvet was a pain to work with. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I loved everything about the pattern, no complaints. Jock didn't seem to mind either! Fabric Used:
I bought a stretch velvet for the body, stretch red cotton for the lining and thick white fur trim. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I excluded the pom-pom due to time constraints and I used Velcro all the way down the front instead of patches of it so it holds him in better. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I wouldn't sew it again as Jock only needs one Santa suit but I'd be lying if I wasn't tempted to start sewing up some more dog wear. Jock likes the attention.
Give this one a go next Christmas for your four legged friend.
