Pattern Description: Very loose fitting pullover top has foldlines forming pleated front and stitched hems.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think it looks better on me than on the model!
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, especially the directions for the front of the v-neck. There are no extra directions for working with knit fabrics, but as the style is very loose and drapey, I guess they didn't think it was necessary. I still serged the side seams and used a double needle on the hems and neckline.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I like that this pattern is perfect for maternity even though it is not advertized as such! The only thing I don't really like is how low the neckline goes in the front. I have to wear it with a camisole, and I imagine it would have probably dipped down to the bottom of my ribcage if I made it 2 sizes larger!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: According to the pattern sizing, I would be a size Medium(pre-pregnancy), but I thought 10 inches of ease was excessive. I sewed a size Extra-small instead-no other alterations- and I think it looks much better. The picture was taken at 31 weeks of pregnancy and I still have room to grow in it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and yes!
Conclusion: A surprisingly awesome alternative to endless versions of side-ruched maternity tees that I have been making lately!
