Im making this now and Im confused on the collar part. Its mainly the back facing (pattern facing 7) connecting with the jacket and upper and lower collars.

Vintage Joan - that is very helpful to think about!

This looks awesome! You achieved a great fit - he looks very stylish, but in a no-fuss casual way.

Great jacket! Yes, Burda men's patterns have this weird quirk. The lengths go up according to the size, so if you're sewing for a slim person who is not on the short side, you'll have to adjust. I normally make size 34 or 36 for my son, but he's about 5'9" (the height they give on the size chart for someone a couple of sizes bigger), so I adjust the length accordingly.
