Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yep!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, although I did not follow them all the way though as you will see!!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? You know, it is a really quick and easy pattern and the results are fabulous. The only dislike are how some of finishes are done - but I 'did it my way' and I am very happy with the results!
Fabric Used: A polar fleece from Fabricland It was half price in the New Year sales, and is quite thick. One side of the fabric (the inside) looks a though it may pill over time, but the outer side is fab-u-lous!!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I had to cut a couple of inches off the bottom of the jacket as well as the sleeves (they were cut to actual length) and then I sewed on some black fold-over Lycra to the raw edges. I cut the Lycra to fit comfortably around my hips and wrists and that brought those two areas in nicely, so that they did not bag out.
With the collar, I did a 'stitch in the ditch' from the right side along the neckline, catching the inside collar - I did not turn it under. I then trimmed the inside collar neckline seam allowance with applique scissors - the finish is very tidy and it eliminates bulk from folding the seam allowance under.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and yes! I probably cut a size too big, but it will great for layering. I showed it to my father and he loves it. He promptly put it on and started doing a 'catwalk runway' poses around my house!! Once I have made him a version - I will post the (inevitably hilarious) photos!!
