Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Well, yes but I did make lots of changes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It's one of my favorite styles.
Fabric Used:From Joann Fabrics, a Poly chiffon with a tribal print. Not too shear, but nice.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
For the opening in front the instructions were for turning under and stitching the opening. I made a self fabric bias to finish off this opening a little more nicely.
I did not make my own drawstrings out of the fabric, it was too time consuming and not fun to make long bias strips out of chiffon, so I just purchased 1 1/2 yards cording and attached that to elastic for the neckline.
At the waist, I made the casing at the waistline from the seam allowance of the top and peplums; I felt that having another drawstring at the waist was too much fussiness for this top.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I will probably make this again. Out of this fabric it wasn't as easy as it looks.
Conclusion: Overall, I really like the way this project turned out.
