I'm looking for a pattern to make shirts for my husband. Thank you for this review and all of the very helpful links. Your shirt looks fantastic and the fabric choice is great. Thank you again!

Great shirt, I love the fact that you sewed your husband a silk shirt. And thanks for the tute's.

I took the Craftsy Classic Tailored Shirt class with Pamela Howard and she used a Kwik Sew pattern. The first thing she did was trace the pattern and add additional seam allowances to accommodate 5/8". You could do that where you want to flat fell the seams. I prefer 3/8" seam allowances so I just added an additional 1/8" beyond the cutting line when I traced my pattern and added 3/8" for flat felled seams. You can create your own pattern with your own seam allowances. Does that make sense? Also, that is a great looking shirt!
