|Pattern Description: MISSES' DRESSES: Fitted dresses A, B, C with lined bodice, darts, neckline variations, waistline seam, back slit opening, side zipper closing and above mid-knee length; purchased belt or ribbon and flower pin. I did the view A|
Pattern Sizing: Size 14 - 20
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes (taking my body shape into consideration of course, ) I sewed View A.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the fact that it's real easy to make, not too many little pieces, and the dress is very nicely shaped. The length is just right too. I did not like the fact the it was not fully lined ie, the bottom part was not lined. I also wish that they did the armhole another way... I'm a beginner and biastapes are I aren't friends yet. Well a jacket would do for now..... and hopefully by the summer time biastapes and I would be good friends lol. Other then that all is well.
Fabric Used: 100% Cotton material called "BIG CITY" from fabric warehouse in Rahway, NJ
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I took in the shoulders about 2''. I also took in the waist about an inche on each side seam piece, top and bottom.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I think I might sew it in black next. And yes I definitely recomment it!
It's a very simple but cute dress. You just have to figure out how to line the skirt piece if you want it fully lined.
