Pattern Description:
from site: Feminine, gathered and figure-hugging silhouettes. Shirt and dress made of bi-elastic jersey. The flat neck and raglan sleeves emphasize the young style both of the shirt and the dress.
Pattern Sizing:
34-46 - mine is View B size 38
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes, but not as tight
Were the instructions easy to follow?
yes - I was experimenting with the side gathering, and rather than use elastic, I zigzagged over thread and used that to gather to 8" (that was the length needed for the elastic). I serged over 1/4" cotton twill tape when I did the final seam.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
liked that it was raglan version of the ruched tee shirt, loved that DH said "You made that?" :D
This runs big, next time I'll just take out from the center front and center back as I'd like to bring in the neckline a little anyways.
Fabric Used:
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
none - but it does run big - possibly as much as 2 sizes depending on the stretch of your fabric and how tight you want it.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Definite for a sew again in both tunic, dress and with sleeve variations. Love the fit of the raglan sleeve - just what I was hoping for!
Fast, easy, and a good fit.

Beautiful dress. I am so glad you reviewed it. Burda patterns fit me well so I was thinking of making this instead of the vogue one. They are both similar.

Gorgeous! And I love your suggestion for achieving the gathered look without pesky elastic.

I'm perusing reviews as I consider this pattern. I LOVE your version! I wonder if it really runs that big or if your rayon/lycra was more relaxed. Anyway, I'll figure that out but will be buying this pattern.
