This is a really nice pattern with multiple sewing options...I chose to make version D with the cowl neckline and the overlay. Great look, but this beautiful top is not for me! It just doesn't cut it for my body type! One thing I noticed AFTER I made the darn thing, is that the model on the envelope is much smaller in the bust line...that makes a huge difference to the look!

This pattern does sew up very well and relatively a fast sew too! My issue had nothing to do with the pattern or instructions, it was totally the wrong style for me! The instructions were very well drafted. The only thing you really need to know is the instructions do have you to cut all pattern pieces out on a "single layer" of fabric. I guess because of the size of the pieces. (Not one of my favorite things to do!)

All in all, it turned out pretty, just not for me! I do plan on taking it apart and refashioning because I love the fabric! However, if you like the style, I will highly recommend it. It's a beautiful sweater and would look gorgeous on the right body...which ain't mine! To see what I mean, stop by blog to check out my first wadder of the year!

Noooooooo! I'm full busted too and darn it I wanted this! But I see the tent effect :( the fabric is stunning. I hope you can get a new top from it!

Thank you for the full bust recommendation. I sometimes make styles that are not flattering (for me it was the Scout T). It is difficult to translate some looks for a fuller bust. Great fabric choice!

Sfshaza did a review of this top (and as far as I can tell she's quite busty). She was able to adjust it to make a very attractive top. You should read her review. I like this pattern but plan on using her adjustments myself. :)

That's too bad it wasn't a good fit for you. It really turned out lovely though so maybe you can pass it on to a friend.

It's gorgeous on your dress form and probably is on you, too. But good for you for knowing and wearing what works for you. You're the only one whose opinion really matters. VH review...thanks

Thanks for this review (and warning to the full-busted)! I love that pattern but now I know it isn't right for me. Sometimes it's hard to picture something on our own bodies, isn't it! I bet you can take it apart and make a beautiful top from that pretty fabric.

I love how this looks in that fabric - sorry the styling didn't work out for you, but it's a great looking sweater!
