Pattern Description:
MISSES' DRESSES AND HAT: Semi-fitted, pullover dresses have collar, collar/front bands, front pleat and narrow hem. C: purchased belt. D: pockets, tie ends and long sleeves with button tab. Shaped hemline B, C and rolled sleeves D: wrong side shows. Lined hat has top, crown and brim.

I made View D without the tie ends.

Pattern Sizing:

8-24. I made a size 18.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yep. Almost exactly.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

It wasn't my first time making a popover type shirt. I've made the Wiksten Tova a few times. The directions were very easy to follow and I had no problems.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

The hem annoys me. From the line drawing I had assumed that the hem was just a regular shirt-tail hem. Instead, the front curves into a deep U-shape and the side seams come up a bit high. How high, you ask? Mid-thigh.

Fabric Used:

Chambray Union in dark indigo from Pacific Fabrics

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

I made a straight size 18. The fit is relaxed without being too boxy. I added a chest pocket.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

Yes, I would definitely sew it again although I would change the hem.

Easy shirt dress pattern and I do like the result. More info on my blog

Such a nice job! Thanks for the tips! I just bought this pattern and cut an 18... For view B sleeveless. I'm thinking D might be cute with the A hem?
