|Pattern Description: Princess seamed dress with wide stand-up collar detailing.|
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The dress is very cute and stylish to wear. This is an easy dress to assemble. The fit isn't even that difficult, but I was being a stickler for fit.
Fabric Used:novelty cotton fabric with a flannel side that I used as the right side.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:No design changes, but I really changed the pattern to fit me.
I had to widen the bust to bust width.
Shorten the waist length.
Adjusted sleeve with Connie Crawford's directions for ease of movement.
Used "Fitting and Pattern Alteration," by Liechty, Rasband, and Pottberg-Steineckert to adjust for a forward rotated shoulder. I went through almost a bolt of muslin trying to get the fit right in the shoulder. There is nothing wrong with this pattern, but I have found this is a very tough fit issue for me. Without the adjustment, I find clothes ride up my back and lack comfort.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is a great dress, but since it is so distinct, I won't make another. (Will use the pattern pieces in future fittings.)
Conclusion: Great dress that is fun to wear.
