Tini, I made these trousers when I was pregnant and they were flattering (no bulky waist seam to stick out through the front of tops), comfortable, versatile (they look good as cropped trousers with boots or sandals) and incredibly quick to make. I actually put some buttonhole elastic through the back facing which makes them wearable all the way through and afterwards. Also I made them without the side panels (too fiddly), some with slightly lower 'waistlines' and with the stretch going round, not veritcally.
