|I sewed 3 capes for my daughter and her friends to play dress up. I used VIEW A for all three capes. The pattern is so easy. The capes went very fast. The girls range in different ages and sizes, but they all have fun running around in them. |
The pattern is so easy and would be easy to modify to fit any theme. Sometimes they pretend to be "Morgana" from the British TV series, "Merlin" and more recently, the characters from the new Disney movie, "Frozen".
I used crushed panne that I bought at JoAnn's on sale. The colors are fun and rich (I used Royal Blue, Deep Green, and Purple. These are great colors for such majestic characters.)
I have used this pattern in the past for other Halloween costumes (Grim Reaper and Star Wars Jawa characters).
