|Pattern Description: |
Tunics with slight variations.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Allowing for my changes, yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
It's too bad that Kwik Sew is being murdered by McCall's. This pattern is a perfect example of what Kwik Sew did so well -- basic, really nicely-fitted everyday patterns.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The pattern is just fine, and a great basic with which to experiment -- which I've done. This is the first of four I've made from it.
Basic cotton/poly interlock from JoAnn.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I cut a slice out of the skirt so that I could color-block the front, and then added an invisible zipper and a hidden pocket to the resulting seam.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, and yes. It's a terrific basic pattern -- perfect for beginners, and fun to wear. (This tunic would make a great PJ top, too!)
