Pattern Description: Shaped peasant tops

Pattern Sizing: I made size 10 and size 12

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I bought this pattern on sale because I was planning to make the StyleArc Anita peasant top and this looked similar.
Disliked turning the drawstring but

Fabric Used: Japanese lawn from Spotlight

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Used sleeve length just below elbows to be more sunsafe. The size 14 on this pattern is about the same size as a size 10 Simplicity pattern I have in a similar style. After making a muslin I liked the more fitted side seams so I went down to a size 10, and used the narrow sleeve view. But then I couldn't move my arms, or bend my elbows! Fortunately I had enough fabric and made a 12. I made the drawstring on the straight grain not the bias. I also used a standard elastic casing rather than the bias on my second version but I think the bias was easier. It sits low on the shoulders so I added an inch at the top.
Might put elastic at the bottom of the sleeves but haven't decided yet.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. Have made two now. I would like to make one similar to the pattern picture with the sleeve flounce in some nice embroidered cotton or something.

Conclusion: now a TNT pattern

What a great alternative to a simple knit T-shirt or a button up. Beautiful fabric.

Lovely top. I received Style Arc's Anita top as a freebie with another pattern order and have made two versions so far. Your New Look does look very similar in both style and fit.
