Pattern Description:
MISSES'/WOMEN'S DRESS, TUNIC OR TOP, SKIRT AND SLIM CROPPED PANTS

Pattern Sizing:
10-18; 20W-28W

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. Especially the dress, since on the envelope, it is appears to made from a similar fabric like the navy denim that I was inspired to use.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions and illustrations were very easy to follow.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Believe me, there is nothing to dislike about this pattern. The princess seams in the front of the top, tunic and dress as well as the darts in the back, the neckline and the front and back yokes that make it up, the tab detail, the varied "hi-low" length of the top and tunic and the overall style of each of the coordinates. JUST FABULOUS!!! in my opinion!

What I found to be a pleasant surprise were the front and back hem facings used to construct Views B & C. Love them!

Fabric Used:
View B,E - Ankara cotton purchased from a local vendor

View A - Medium weight denim from Virginia's stash

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't make any alterations to this pattern nor did I make a muslin. I simply took advantage of the multiple sizing and graded to get the fit that I wanted. For the top/tunic I used 10-12 and for the skirt/pants I used 12-14.

Small design changes include omitting the sleeve detail on View A and giving the skirt (View E) more of a "slim" fit.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Oh my goodness! I cannot recommend this pattern enough. Is there a category beyond "highly"? If so...that's it! I won't sew it again since I've made every piece. View C,D is forthcoming. This is a pattern full of great pieces which can be worn together or mixed and matched! A great wardrobe builder!

Conclusion:
Lately I have come across several patterns that have left me wanting to make ALL of the pieces contained therein! This has definitely been the case with the "Threads Magazine Collections" by Simplicity. This pattern is an easy sew AND you get some fabulous pieces once completed. Add this one to your collection!
