Pattern Description: Pants with contoured waistband, front fly zipper, belt loops and wider leg.

Pattern Sizing: Misses 8 - 22

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Somewhat - I knew I did not want a wide leg, so tapered them considerably before cutting out - reduced circumference to around 14".

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, I have a tendency to think I know what I am doing, but tried very hard to follow these instructions step-by-step in order to achieve the promised "amazing fit."

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I LOVE how they fit - I have not attempted to make pants in years due to disappointing results (and a lack of honesty with myself in sizing...). I am a RTW size 8 generally - and with my measurements, cut a 14 curvy. After basting side seams, I took them in a bit and adjusted the inner leg seam for a better fit (as per pattern instructions) in the front.

Fabric Used: I used a stretch denim purchased at Joann's last fall - if I were to do them again, I would think about cutting them down a bit - the fabric did stretch over the course of the day.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Tapered the legs A LOT - I wanted a skinny/crop pant. It worked. I also serged all seam allowances after fitting.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, the order of construction (waistband applied to front/back separately) allowed for ease of alteration for first fitting, I do not detect and excessive amount of bulk at any of the seams. I especially like the bias tape treatment used for the inner waistband, it gives a very professional finished look. Going forward, I will serge the zipper area seams before construction.

Conclusion: Definitely will make again, but will probably stick with fabrics with some stretch. Pockets would be easy to add, but I don't want to add anything to my body in that area!!
