Pattern Description:
The beautiful BHL 'Georgia' dress pattern, options to have thick wide straps or skinny straps, mini and midi length.

I chose the mini version with skinny straps... but I widened the straps, more on that later.

Pattern Sizing:
I cut a 2/6 bust, 6/10 waist, 2/6 hips.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Exactly like the envelope, yay!

Were the instructions easy to follow?
The pattern come with excellent easy to understand instructions and the sewalong is also a great resource.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
Sweet heart neckline, figure hugging shape, the skirt panels.

Fabric Used:
Cotton sateen. The stretch definitely makes the dress fit much better than my first version using no-stretch cotton - Click Here.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Design change - widened the straps by sewing with a 6mm seam allowance instead of the 12mm seam allowance recommended.

Alterations - small bust adjustment, hollow chest adjustment, took a chunk out of my skirt back to eliminate the fabric billowing out of the lower back.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
This is my third version of Georgia and I LOVE the pattern to bits!!
I have so many more ideas for Georgia, but as it is coming into winter now in Australia, I will have to wait until Spring to make them!

Conclusion:
The BHL patterns are such a perfect fit for my petite frame and lifestyle. This pattern, though rated as intermediate, is actually not that difficult, just takes a lot of patience The sewalongs provide a lot of support for a novice sewist, so don't be afrid to give this pattern a go!!
