Fabric:Cotton-Lycra Knit  [See other projects in this fabric]
Stretch material is not one off the suggested material for the top but I think it works better with a stretch fabric. I have made this top before in cotton but never loved how it draped. This pattern has a 12 inch easement in it: so this time I cut 2 sizes smaller.

I just used this same material to make the peplum top by Cake patterns and had some leftover. I was thinking about a skirt but another t-shirt won out to go with my burnt orange cords. It is a cotton/Lycra t-shirt knit. Again I wanted the stripes to go up and down so I was careful in cutting. (been there and done that before).

I wanted a comfortable top but also wanted it to look good - Yes, I still believe there is such a thing.

I did not use a binding to finish the armholes and necklines but turned it under and did a thin hem.

Well this might be a casual top, I fine the materiel to have a classical look and will have fun dressing it up a bit.

What a great top! I would never have looked twice at this pattern, but that t-shirt style is excellent - and looks great on you.
