This is the second top from this pattern that I've made and I wanted to share the photo and the modifications.

I made the FBA and the v neck as per the class video, except that I made the bottom of the v two inches above the bottom of the yoke pattern piece since I wasn't planning a band trim. I brought the shoulders in closer to the neck, so the shoulder seams are 3 inches wide, and shortened the pattern by 2".

I used facings for the neck since top stitching didn't look good on the front, and caught the facing in the bust seam to help hold it in place.

This fabric was tricky to work with as I was unable to press out the extra fullness in the bust seam. Jennifer recommended making the seam slightly deeper in the puckered area, which worked fairly well.

Next time I plan to drop the yoke another inch to inch and a half to move the fullness down closer to my apex.

You are really making this your own! congrats on your tops, and the customizations you are doing. The pattern has a nice base style to work with.

I misstated the shoulder width and updated the review.

Another lovely tee. I have this pattern but have been unsure about how to do the much-needed FBA. Thanks for mentioning the video.
