Pattern Description:
gathered skirt (designed for woven fabrics) with elastic-back waistband, front button placket, and an interesting pocket detail inspired by the shape of a takeout box.

Pattern Sizing:
The measurements put K in a size 12 width and 10 length but it is clearly too wide and too long. I think a 10 width and 8 length would have been about right.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
yes on the hanger, lol.

Were the instructions easy to follow?
very, Oliver + S always have such awesome instructions. They are easy enough for beginners but look beautiful and advanced when done.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
love the pockets, I don't like how the skirt poofs and sits on K.

Fabric Used:
This is a yard of stash fabric I used too! Michael Miller Happy Hills. I purchased this last March for $8.98 from The cute yellow pockets are from flannel scraps. The cotton is a bit stiff for this skirt but I've only pre-washed it so far.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I started this Oliver + S skirt for K at the beginning of March. All that was left for the last week or so was the top button. LOL. What a procrastination. K and I used snaps down the front instead of buttons, but opted for an actual button for the waistband. I didn't want any snap popping open there.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I recommend it because it is cute as pie; however, my K likes her waistbands well below her waist and it makes the skirt look funny so I won't be sewing it again.

love the pockets, love the instructions, love the fabric!
