Pattern Description: Vintage pattern. Misses' sleeveless, modern 1960s A line dress.
Pattern Sizing: 6-8-10-12-14
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't use them.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The director wanted sheath dresses for the Three Blind Mice in Shrek. This pattern was exactly right for that.
Fabric Used: Cotton brocade from Fashion Fabric Club. The dresses are lined so they don't stick to their tights while the girls are dancing.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made 3 iterations of this pattern for 3 girls who were around 13-15 years old. I had to alter the pattern for each to match their figures. The smallest girl was smaller than the smallest size of the pattern.
I left off the facings and bagged the lining instead.
I also skipped all of the interfacing since this was only needed for 8 shows.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, although I would highly recommend making a muslin for correct fit.
