|Pattern Description: .|
Simple dress with princess seam. Can be made sleeveless or with short or long sleeves. Also can be made as a tunic. Patch pockets can be added.
Pattern Sizing:. XXS-0 to XML-18-20 I made medium.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. I made the sleeveless version.
Were the instructions easy to follow? I just used them for the order. I made a couple of changes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love a simple dress for summer, and thought this was really cute.
Fabric Used:. A pretty quilting cotton from the "Zen Chic" collection by Moda. Purchased from Sew It Up
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I lined my dress with black batiste. Instead of putting patch pockets on the front, I simply put pockets in princess seams. I make muslins of most patterns, so I used this opportunity to figure out how to do this. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I don't think it was too difficult. I did my usual short waist and sway back alterations.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would most certainly make it again and I recommend it to others.
Conclusion: . I love this dress, I made it late summer last year and wore it all the time. I'll have to size it up a little, it looks and feels a little snug. Guess that's what happens when you gain weight. Stupid over 50 body changes!
