|Pattern Description: Close fitting pullover dress in two lengths with raw edged tiers and self neck binding. Sleeveless with armhole binding or sleeves.|
Pattern Sizing: 6 - 22, I made a 12 at neck and armholes, 14 everywhere else as I usually make a Vogue 12 and add at the hip. I didn't want it to be a tight fitting dress.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes. Maybe better as the pattern envelope versions are pretty drab.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes they seemed OK. I didn't really use other than to see if the edge of the pattern overlay pieces matched up to the marked lines or if that was the stitching line. Good thing I checked as the marked lines on the under-dress are the stitching lines.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?Love the uniqueness of the style, (even though it is everywhere in RTW now) love the way they use the stripes. Super comfortable since it is all knit.
Fabric Used: cotton lycra knit
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: added some fit insurance on the side seams as I didn't want it to be too snug.
changed the placement of the back layers so that they would look better on my backside.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would like to sew it again, who knows if I will get to it.
Highly recommend as a fun and stylish dress, perfect for travel.
A winner, thank you Vogue.
