Pattern Description:
Designed for low-stretch knit fabrics, this classic style features a boat neckline, choice of top or dress lengths, three quarter length or long sleeves, with side splits at the hips on the top version. Make it your own with optional sixties funnel roll neck, rolled cuffs and patch pockets.
Pattern Sizing:
Bust 30 - 44 Hip 33 - 47 or sizes 1 - 8
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
mostly, but I made variations
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
very versatile as both dress and top
Fabric Used:
1 - reversible medium wt drapey knit in lavender/white
2 -aztec print sweater knit in poly/spandex
3- printed polar fleece and ponte
4- flocked poly/spandex knit with the properties of a woven
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Basically I drafted between size 1 - 3
1-colorblock upper bodice front and back, narrow neckband, bow belt (found under tutuorials on Tilly's site)
2-cut the sleeves on the lengthwise grain, added a cuff, same neckband as 1
3-deepened the pocket, collar stitched as single layer instead of double
4-straight from pattern - needed to take a horizontal dart as the woven fabric really needed a bust dart.
Full details of all changes Here
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Do I really need to answer that? hmmm, I do need a few tunic length versions and yes, great basic
