Pattern Description: Slightly fitted shirt with dolman sleeves in two lengths and two collar variations

Pattern Sizing:8-20 I made a 12 but added width at the sides.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes, however the PR file picture does not show all three views. Here are all views of the pattern
Pattern and Fabric Photo

Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes, but I really did not need them. But if a new sewist would like to make this blouse, the instructions are clear.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I was disappointed to find that the collar was 5/8" shorter than the neck opening. When I made this blouse the first time out of expensive fabric, I was furious. I noted this on the pattern and did not get caught this time. I like the collar and the close fit of the body. I am not thrilled with the bat wing look of the dolman sleeves.

Fabric Used: a beautifully light, cool, cotton with a batik design. the batik crinkles the fabric giving it a plisse-like look.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: As I mentioned above I added 5/8" to the collar. Otherwise no changes.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? If I cannot find a good basic summer blouse pattern, I may consider making it again. I am planning on adding light shoulder pads to this blouse, and would need to do that if I sewed it again. The dolman sleeve is not the most flattering for me. But I am in a desperate situation with no summer clothes and the heat is upon us.

Conclusion: This is a quick make. a fast sewist can make two or three in a day.
Just remember to key the collar to the neckline before cutting. I have explained my woes with this pattern and why I am in search of a good blouse for summer, and the sighting of the Easter Bunny on a stand up paddle board on My Blog

Looks so nice - I have this pattern and haven't noticed any problem with the collar - maybe y.ou got a bad print and you should mention it to Vogue

I love this pattern. Your blouse looks great on you! I understand about the dolman sleeves though. I have made this pattern several times (both short sleev views) and have not had any trouble with the collar once I realized that there are two collars (one for View A and one for View B and C) and on the one for View A the neck edge is longer than the outer edge so keeping track of which is which needs some attention.

Your fabric is beautiful. I think it is a good style when it is hot outside. I see what you mean about the batwings, but that is the style of the blouse

Thank you everyone for your nice comments. While trying to calm my mind for sleep last night, Imthough this would be a good top to reproduce in several colors for the most casual wear. And it will be cool. COOL COOL COOL!
