Fabric:Silk Charmeuse  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: This top is view B from Sportswear Pattern including a kimono jacket, simple skirt, pants and this top.

Pattern Sizing: 10-22. I made this in a 12/14 as I wanted a loose fit.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, but I made some changes to my pattern.

Were the instructions easy to follow? I didn't need them for this simple pattern as it is only two pattern pieces and some bias binding for the neck. They looked good though.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I just wanted a simple, loose fitting t-shirt top to make, and this fit the bill.

Fabric Used: Silk charmeuse from Mill End Store in Milwaukie, Oregon.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made a lowered, dipped back hem, cut the back of the top on the fold instead of make a center back seam, and made french seams for the side and shoulder seams. I also made the bias tape from the same silk fabric.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and yes! Great easy top that only took a couple of hours to make.

Conclusion: Love this top! More on my blog Ode to Sew.

This is a beautiful version of this shirt -- I've just finished one but it's much less glamorous ;)
