Pattern Description:
Petticoat, camisole, slip and underpants
Pattern Sizing:
I bought the pattern envelope that included sizes 14 - 22 and made up the size 22
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were very clear, detailed and easy to follow. The instructions are for a regular sewing machine due to all the lace inserting, but I am sure you could do the side seams on a surger/overlocker, although I didn't.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I really like the way you sew the stretch lace onto the fabric and then cut away the fabric from behind to reveal the skin through the lace, very pretty effect.
Fabric Used:
A patterned two-way stretch jersey that has a slinky feel to it.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I followed the designer's instructions on her blog to do a Full Bust Adjustment and made a new pattern piece from the cup D pattern piece by making a 1.5" FBA. I also added 5" to the hemline to make it a bit longer, now it reaches just on top of my knees, and I am 5'7".
The other change I made was to not make it quite as fitted at the waist, I have taken a photo of this alteration and put it on my blog, if you're interested. I blog at Nessa's Place
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
It really is nice but no, I won't sew this again. By the time I bought the fabric, elastic, lingerie fasteners and stretch lace it cost a lot more than a simple store-bought slip would have cost me. Plus with all the fiddly pinning to get the lace to sit right, it took almost an entire day.
A fun thing to sew and I am sure I will enjoy wearing it, but not really a cost-effective way for me to have lingerie.

I was just looking at the FBA instructions on her blog. Yours turned out great - I need to get this pattern.
