|Pattern Description: |
Semi-fitted straight dress with back zipper closure and back seam slit.
8-14 - I made a 12 but should have made a 10.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes - view D without the pockets.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes the instructions were good.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I've been looking for a TNT sheath dress pattern and after reading the reviews on PR decided to give this one a try. It's a good basic.
Linen - it creases madly but I really liked the colour.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I lined the dress using this tutorial from Stitchy Witch
I also took in the chest and waist by about half an inch - next time I would cut a 10 top and grade to a 12 at the hips
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, this will be my TNT sheath dress I think - it has loads of variations.
I had enough fabric remaining to add a matching jacket (Simplicity 2209, already reviewed here)
This time I pressed the collar flat instead of allowing it to stand up.
