Good red color and the skirt falls so nicely. Yokes do that to me, too, darn it. They have to be soooo perfect that I have stayed away. I hope you'll report back with a picture on your attempts to correct this. I need to learn!

I have a yoked skirt in my closet that does the same thing to me. It seems to me that they must fit snugly, or be cut closer to the waist not to move around so much. This is compounded my a large waist to hip ratio. This may not be as pronounced on a straighter figure type. I really like the way your skirt fits you, and bravo to your DH for being willing to help mark a hem!

This skirt looks beautiful on you! Love the style as well. I remember having a skirt pattern (although it was a mini) like this in high school. Recall making a slew of them in this style.

Your skirt looks great, especially for a muslin! I am in the midst of reworking a yoke on a finished skirt so that it lies evenly on the waist -- it's better to do it before you finish, for sure.

The drape of the skirt is very pretty on your figure. With a few tweaks, you will have mastered a very good pattern for you.

Thanks, everyone! Yes, it would have been much easier to tweak prior to finishing. I didn't realize it was going to do this. I think I'll just go w/ it, & adjust the next version. :o ryan's mom: this in a mini? Better not turn fast!

That is so pretty! I have this pattern but have not yet made it. You're inspiring me to pull it out and sew it! -Ann

Really cute skirt. I agree that yokes are tricky to fit. They seem to work best with next to no ease.

Well Anne, there's nothing like a belated compliment, even if it's a year and a half later, is there? This pic just caught my eye as it revolved around the right side of PR, and wow, I just had to click on. I love that skirt. It looks wonderful on you and the color red is to die for. I know you said it was a muslin, but hope you consider it a wearable one, because it's really pretty................everything about it. Very nice detailed review, too.
