Pattern Description: Fitted dress, tunic or top with sleeve options. Princess seams curve into side seams.

Pattern Sizing:0-20

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?yes

Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes. I rated this pattern difficult because of the princess/curved seaming. In my version I added piping and turned the side pieces on the bias - which added greatly to the difficulty. If one followed the pattern as is, it probably would not have been as difficult.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I liked the curved pieces and the option to change the direction of the fabric as shown on the cover. I also liked the pouch pockets, which I had to omit on my version because they just didn't suit the design. Also, I have HIPS and didn't really need any extra fabric there!

Fabric Used:A houndstooth cotton/poly blend from fabric.com.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I added piping and cut the side panels on the bias. If I cut on the bias again, I would stay-stitch the seams to make it easier to match!

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I am on the fence about sewing again. I thought it would work with leggings, since I am not in my 30's anymore, but it would take some changing to get that to work. Perhaps a larger size? Its a cute option for younger women.

Conclusion: Overall a nice original pattern from an indie pattern co that I'm glad I tried! I missed the "New to you Pattern Company" contest, but it's all good anyway! If you want to see more pics, here's my blog link: Color Fiber Texture

This is so cute! I love the piping. Not sur why you think this style is for a younger person. I think it's perfect on you (no leggings)!

I agree with Sew Good, this dress looks great on you and does not need leggings. I like the piping idea. I have this dress to try and hope to get around to it in the near future.
