Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes (with modifications for the handles)

Were the instructions easy to follow?

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked that the main pattern pieces fitted together exactly with no awkward puckers on the curved pieces. I like the way the handle tabs work but it was extremely difficult stitching through up to 30 layers (including seam allowances). Many machines and inexperienced sewers may find this difficult. I didn't like that there was a lot of space in the handle after the cord was inserted (see below for my solution), it may be difficult for beginners to know how to modify this.

Fabric Used:
For the main fabric I used a "quilt as you go" method using a sandwich of quilting cotton, 80/20 wadding, a cotton sateen curtain lining and no interfacing.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I replaced one of the inner patch pockets with an integral zipped pocket. The pattern/instructions for the handle did not work with a lot of space in the rouleaux after the cord was inserted. I removed almost an inch from the width of the pattern piece which provided a tight fit for the half inch cord .......... it was difficult to turn with the interfacing but worth the effort.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I think I may sew it again but not yet!! Yes, I would recommend it as it is a lovely shaped bag.
