Pattern Description:
This elegant bateau neck sheath dress is simple to sew, with added interest from a fully removable cummerbund style belt which can be made in a matching or contrasting fabric, closing with a single button in back. Version 1 has 3/4 length sleeves, a contrasting belt, and in seam pockets. Version 2 has short sleeves, a matching belt, and no pockets.
Pattern Sizing:
size 12 graded to 14 at waist
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes, but I made changes to the front bodice by adding a yoke front. Also, I made a change on the back bodice to complete the look of Caroline Herrera's Rose Print Party Dress.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It was a good foundation to start my changes.
Fabric Used:Cotton bottom weight fabric with cotton yokes

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
no gathers, repositioned waist darts 7/8in. away from center fold, lowered neckline, swayback adjustment,
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I plan to make one in a solid color.
Conclusion:
I am loving my geometric version of Carolione Herrera's Rose Print Party Dress. The original dress is made of jacquard, but I found it to be more economical to use cotton bottom weight fabric with cotton yokes. It is my bargainista fashionista version.
