    Pattern Description:

    Navy/vintage pattern fabric Macaroon

    Pattern Sizing:

10 on top, 12 on skirt, graded at midriff section.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?

Yes, it looks exactly as I planned.

Were the instructions easy to follow?

Very much so - Sarai's interactions are super easy to follow and presented beautifully.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

It looks exactly like I imagined it would, it is lovely and fits my figure very well. Although main and contrast fabric have different weighs and textures they worked well together. As usual for Saraiís patterns, the instructions are very clear and the diagrams are great and detailed. The pattern itself is beautifully presented. And I just LOVE that the shirt has pockets! Win!

    Fabric Used:

    Main fabric: vintage printed cotton
Contrast (for top and sleeves): navy lightweight wool.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:

I used a 1mm seam allowance on the side seams after 1st fitting. Graded from 10 to 12 at the midriff pattern piece.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?

I have done so, this is actually my second Macaroon! I also want to sew a dressier one, sleeveless, lace on top.

    Conclusion:

Love love love this. Easy to sew, so suitable for beginners, but with some cool techniques as well, and interesting shapes. Lots of options of colours and fabric combos.

Great dress! Can't wait to see your next version: it's fun to see how the same pattern can produce such different looks, depending on fabric choice and styling!
