Fabric:Ponte Knit  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: Tapered, below waist (front) pants have seam detail, overlapped lower sides, and topstitching. Close-fitting, no side seams

Pattern Sizing: Based on other reviews, I made a 14, despite waist/hips measurement between 16/18 (closer to 18).

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, though the pattern photo doesn't look like much as the neat design lines aren't obvious. Then again, in my black fabric, it's just as not obvious too.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. The diagrams were very helpful and the instructions very clear.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? LOVE the seaming. I got tired of the overlapping seams by the end, but the effect is worth it.

Fabric Used: Heavy black ponte knit from Hancock.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Shortened the pants in the thigh and below the knee, big wedge added to center back, little bit taken out of the front rise, and extra added to back thigh. It was essential for me to pin all of the pieces together before I started changing anything as there are no side seams.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Probably not, but only because I don't need too many items like this in my wardrobe. It's a fun design and I love it!

Conclusion: These pants are really fun and not as hard to make as they look. As there are no finished measurements, make sure to flat pattern measure before committing to a size. More at my blog.

Thanks everyone! These pants were a nice change from the usual pant pattern, and a chance to stretch myself in my sewing. I really recommend it!
