I made a long version this dress for my DD when she was in high school, and it was one of her favorites. Later, I combined it with the Textile Studios Basic dress to make a slimmer-fitting, short version for her. It's a very versatile, reliable pattern. And I LOVE the fabric you used. The simplicity of the dress lets the print play the starring role. Very nice, Peggy.

Your dress is wonderful and I like the fabric you used. I will definitely have to try...view C, but a longer version. I think the higher neckline for this KS pattern is more comfortable. Great job and thanks for showing us another view. Can wait to see more pics!

Lovely summer dress. Glad to read that it does not look like a sack, which sometimes mine do. May have to look further at this pattern.

Thanks everyone! I wore this to work today and will post pics (very amateur!) when I get home tonight. I stopped at CVS for batteries and got a compliment from the salesclerk and from two of my coworkers as soon as I walked in the door. That's certainly a boost to start the day!

I'm glad to see a photo of you in the dress. It looks great on you, much better than the pattern drawings. That fabric is perfect for a summer dress. (A "shift" is what my mom always called a simple dress like this one.)
