Shirt reviewed here.

Pattern Description: Slightly flared mini-skirt with extra large pockets. There is also an invisible zipper on the left back side.

Pattern Sizing:34-36-38-40-42

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes!

Were the instructions easy to follow?Mostly. I couldn't follow the instructions for the pockets very well, so I just did what I thought would work best.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?I like how quick and easy this skirt was to sew--only 6 pattern pieces (facings are incorporated into the 3 skirt pieces which need to be traced separately, giving you a total of 6 pattern pieces). The most time consuming part was the pocket detail, but that is what caught my eye about it. After getting the pockets in place, it didn't take long to finish.

Fabric Used:Cotton Twill.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I did not add the hem allowance and I also removed 1/2 inch from the length. It is not a mini on me, but I prefer that.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?I would definitely sew again and recommend to others. I love cargo pockets and this skirt is comfortable and sporty looking to me.

Conclusion: A great summer skirt! I will definitely be making this again in other fabrics. It is easy to put together. Even if you are uncertain how to do the pockets as described, you can just manipulate the fabric till you are happy and topstitch it down! You can even be creative and add other pockets to the skirt.

I love this skirt. It looks great on you. We attend many sports events and there are so many restrictions about what may be taken into venues that I often just wear something with pockets to hold a few essentials. Thanks for posting this review. Now, off to find that issue!
