Fabric:Cotton-Lycra Knit  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: From McCall's website: Partially lined, flared dresses A, B, C, D have princess seams, back zipper and above mid-knee length; dresses A, B have godets; dress C has assorted jewel stones.

Pattern Sizing: I used the sleeves from view B but I used the skirt from view C. I made bust 12, waist 12, tapered to hip 16

My Shape: 5 feet 2 inches, bust 34 waist 30 hip 40

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? I did not use the instructions, i used an online tutorial from the Slapdash Sewist because I added a full lining.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It was really easy to put together.

Fabric Used: Michael Miller Heaven and Helsinki Stretch Jersey Knit Gardenia Aqua

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I moved the zipper from the back to the side. It's more convenient to have a side zip than to hunt someone down to help me get dressed in the morning. I put in a full lining.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes

Conclusion: I would like to make it again but maybe in a fabric that looks less, I don't know ... juvenile? Also I think I will raise the back neckline several inches and raise the front neckline by an inch. I think it's a cute weekend dress as-is, but I'd like to be able to wear my creations to work too.

Since this is a jersey could you go without the zipper? I agree with you on the side zipper, easier than in the center back. It looks great and I agree with the other commenters, not juvenile looking at all.
