Fabric:Ponte Knit  [See other projects in this fabric]
Pattern Description: Lined, pullover dress has single-layer flounce (wrong side shows), fitted, mock wrap bodice with slightly blouson back, front snap, elasticized (seamed) waist, and side pockets. Very narrow hems. B: front overlay. C: Skirt is cut on crosswise grain of fabric. A and C: self belt.

Pattern Sizing: (6-14) and (14-22). I cut the 14.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, with my obvious modifications

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I didn't like the huge amount of ease in the pattern. I do love the flounce neckline though. It's such a cute detail for what is essentially a simple dress with an elasticated waist.

Fabric Used: Ponte Knit purchased from Fabricland for £3.99 per metre.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I omitted the tie belt, I raised the position of the elastic, and I shortened the length of the skirt. I also took out a large amount of ease.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I would consider sewing this again, but as I had to make alot of alterations I am not sure that I would consider coming back to it quickly. I would recommend it to others though, I think that alot of my changes and dislikes were based on personal preference rather than anything wrong with the pattern.

Conclusion: I am really glad that I finished this in the end and it's cute addition to my wardrobe. You can read about my struggle with this dress on my blog HERE
