Pattern Description: (from website description) A PatternReview exclusive, the Summer Street Dress is everything you want in a cool summer dress. Easy to sew, with an optional contrast panel in the front, this kimono sleeve knit dress with a scoop neckline has endless possibilities. Sew as is for a sweet dress that you’ll wear everywhere. Lengthen the skirt, and you have a maxi that’s right on trend! The Summer Street Dress looks equally cute with sandals or boots. This is the transition piece you've been waiting for. Don’t wait… Download it, sew it and wear it today!

Pattern Sizing: I made the bust CS, waist CM, and hip CM

My Shape: five feet two inches, bust 34 waist 30 hip 40

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I think the neckline is slightly higher than the pattern photo.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really like the sleeves

Fabric Used: Stretch Jersey Knit Abstract Houndstooth Purple

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Instead of gathers I made some box pleats in the skirt. I added in-seam pockets. I made a 2 inch hem.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes and Yes, I already have fabric cut for another version!

Conclusion: I am not a C cup but I didn't need to make any adjustments. I think next time I will cut the waist the same size as I cut the bust and leave the skirt the same. I like a fuller skirt and I think the box pleats work nicely. I would love to have some more versions of this dress, especially half solid fabric/half patterned fabric would work out nicely for me. This was easy to make but it took me awhile because the fabric was slippery so I hand basted it before running it through the serger. Great excuse to buy more fabric!
