I have reviewed this pattern previously but decided to add this review mainly to highlight what a really useful pattern it can be to any newcomers to the site especially as the LWD seems to be so much in vogue this summer.
I actually made it in December last year for a New year's winter cruise but didn't have time to put it on PR. With the sun out, yes even in the North of England, I persuaded my DH to take a photo this week. So bright I had to look for shade!

Pattern Description: Close fitting dress or T shirt with scoop neckline and front darts. Sleeves can be narrow and long or short. Sized for stretch fabrics.

Pattern Sizing: 12 - 24. I sewed size 12.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.

Were the instructions easy to follow? The instructions are very clear though as I have used this pattern many times now for various tops and a couple of dresses I didn't use them. (First time round I particularly liked the instructions for attaching a neck band -see previous review if interested)

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
This is an excellent basic style T shirt dress with bust darts in the front. They help to give a T shirt a good shape which I like . I also like the wide scoop neck, low but not too low with a good fit.

Fabric Used: I am really not quite sure. I guess it is some kind of novelty polyster stretch fabric. I bought it in Fenwick's summer sale last year. Fenwicks unlike John Lewis don't seem to give a description of their fabrics. It is a two layer fabric which has sort of "holes" in it, these can be seen more clearly on the sleeves. I felt that it needed a lining. I tried to purchase some stretch lining locally but couldn't so I contacted Fabric land and purchased some of their stretch Lycra. It is quite a good weight and probably thicker than I really needed but it worked OK.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: No design changes but I added a lining to the main dress. This was attached at the neck edge so I didn't need to sew a neck band as given in the pattern. The sleeves were left unlined.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? This is one of my favourite T shirt patterns which I think I will keep on using and adapting from time to time, so yes I would certainly recommend this pattern

Conclusion: A very easy uncomplicated pattern.I am surprised there haven't been more reviews. I guess there are quite a lot of T shirt patterns and probably people have their favourite.
