|Pattern Description: |
A bodysuit with different front and back neckline variations and sleeve lengths. Has optional shelf bra for the low back versions. Pattern also includes dress
2-18. I graded from a size 12 shoulders to a 14 bust, then 10 waist and then out to 12 hips based on my daughters measurements. This pattern has negative ease. Using my daugthers measurements as a guide for sizing worked out perfectly for me.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
These instructions are awesome! The neck and leg binding worked out brilliantly. The drafting is spot on and everything aligned well.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
No dislikes. Love a bodysuit ( no worries about untucking), love the scoop neck, love the idea of a dress in ponte ( you know what's next on my to-sew list!)
Fabric Used:A cotton lycra knit with lots of stretch (100% width wise and 80% lengthwise). The fabric for the bodysuit needs at least 50% stretch both lengthwise and widthwise, so my fabric was perfect. The next knit I want to try with this pattern is only 40% lengthwise stretch, so it might end up as a regular top.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes!
This is a fantastic pattern. I wore bodysuits in the 90's, but I'm looking forward to doing so again!
