Pattern Description: Knit separates that include top, skirt, pants and cardigan
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Liked the easy pattern pieces to trace and fit.
Fabric Used:Polyester knit that I got at one of those very inexpensive Asian fabric stores. I think it was $2 or $3 a yard and at least 67 wide. I was making the top on a regular sewing machine and had a fabric jam. I had been struggling with the fabric as it is very slippery and hard to handle. I got a bad jam, tried to free and only succeeded in getting the timing off on the machine. I had been thinking about getting a serger and thought well, this is a very good time to make that investment. Did some research bought one and finished the top plus matching skirt. The serger handled the fabric like a dream. I had never operated a serger before. Used a chain and double cover stitch.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:I did not do any alterations other than cutting a 16 for the top and 14 for the skirt. Top came out a little big around the waist but comfortable.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I am going to make a coordinating top and skirt in black out of the same fabric plus the cardigan,
Conclusion: Very easy pattern and great wardrobe builder. Have the same fabric with tan and black flowers and may do it all over again. Very flattering...
