Hi Phyllis,
Thanks for the tip. I love to use sharpies with my ruler, too, and now I can go clean my marked up rulers. You are so smart. |

Ahhhh, didn't know this tip. I do know that it will also clean off the gunk on the serger knife that is left when you've sewn lots of polarfleece. |

Hi Phyliss. The tip also worked on the sharpie marks on the glass top on my dining room table...bleed through from pattern marking. Just in time....DDIL arrives today and I must maintain my image. Thanks. Mary Ann |

A nice corollary to this tip (courtesy of Carol Ahles): alcohol works on metal and plastic bobbins, too if you, like me, like to write the thread color # on your filled bobbins. I was thrilled to discover last week that it works for clear rulers, too. FYI, in a pinch, Clinique Toner is a great Sharpie mark remover, too! |

I dear toddler that I know just used a Sharpie to give her little brother's face tiger stripes. I'll suggest that the less-than-amused parents try this if nothing gentler removes the evidence. |

alcohol is great for that. Careful not to rub too hard on the numbers like I did when trying to remove some film from temporary spray adhesive! I started to lose some of my numbers on the clear acrylic rulers. |
