I finally came up with a way to quickly sort polar fleece socks of different sizes but of the same fabric. Use the sock color in the bobbin and put a totally different color in the top. I hem with a Faux flatlock hem and have devised my own color chart: 14 men =red 13 men=green 12 men=white 11 men=orange and tec. I wrote the color/size on a big piece of paper and have stuck it in the pattern envelope. My DD1 washed a bunch before she sent them off to Afghanistan and said that she paniced when she took all the socks out of the dryer until she noticed that the inside hem was color coded. You all may not have trouble with sizes, but we sure do!
That's clever. Thanks for your efforts to support our troops.

Clever idea, and I love that you keep the color code with the pattern for future reference. Handy tip!
