| this was my first ever sewing expo/event,...what a treat!....the classes were $40.00 each and included the supplies,..I took 3,.. all sponsored by Baby Lock and was so impressed by my finished projects,..all of the lectures were included w/ the admission fee,..I took in heirloom for beginner's,sewing w/stretch,heirloom feet,..ribbon embroidery,sweat-jacket restyling..and a few more..the quality of fabric and lace were just what you would expect from Martha Pullen...all sorts of sewing gadgets,and smockers,..and the display of heirloom clothes(they were all entered into a contest) was breathtaking!..And finally Marth Pullen herself was soo personable and down to earth,...her husband mingled and talked w/everyone too,.. you feel like your there to visit a close family member made good.lol...can't wait to attend her next event..........Cons:the venue(Orange co convention center) was overwhelming, and you really had to be determined to find it,..once you found out which wing it was in,..then the needle in the haystack starts over again,.. |
